can consider yourself an Angel
now - the caring and compassion that comes out in
your letters is so wonderful. Your
dad is so lucky to have you and I know that you
feel the same way about him in your
life... remember, he will ALWAYS be in your life
no matter where this journey takes
you... do not let this dreaded disease make the
fear the upper most aspect in your
life - you have this most precious time to spend
with your dad and your family -
Chris is right - it will change you for the better
and you will be amazed at the inner-
strength that you never thought you had or would
need to have..
My dad, who lives in Oklahoma and I am in North
Carolina, was dx with primary
liver cancer last August - he tried chemo but his
body could not tolerate it - radiation
is out - so we are doing the alternative therapy
route!!!! He is battling this monster with
everything he can throw at it - he has gained some
ground and lost others... I do know
that the cancer will not win no matter what - my
family and I have changed and become
better people which makes me feel like we can
thumb our noses at this monster and say
that we will win no matter what !!!!!! I love my
dad so very much like you do yours -
he is seventy two and always had his crosses to
bear but he is the best person that I
know - I will do not want to lose him but I know
that, no matter what, I will someday!!!
This is as good as it gets in our lives -
I am here for you whenever you may need me just
like the rest of our Angels -
I have done alot or research on alternative
therapies as have others in our group -
I will share this info with you when and if you
want it - just ask, OK...
My prayers are with your dad and you and your
family - don't give up - hope runs
eternal and miracles do happen , maybe not in the
way that we want but just look and
you will see them all around you :)
