Re: [MOL] Wendy, from Nanc

Wendy,
When I saw your post I thought of my cousin Wendy (also Jewish). Don't give
up hope Wendy! When my Dad was dx w/ nsclc last August, my world turned
upside down and all the news and all the tests got worse before anything got
better. Yet even there one day would sound hopeful, the next news worse. It
was a daily roller-coaster. It wasn't until Oct that he started his chemo.
I really challenged that decision, because I'd heard that radiation was
superior for nsclc. But I must admit though the chemo is really severe on my
Dad (75 yeard old) he is still alive and to a more limited extent, can still
enjoy life.

My Dad's cancer hadn't spread the way your Dad's has, but it did go from one
lung to the other and into the mediastum (?) between the lungs. The right
lung now has no cancer and the left has shrunk remarkably. Just yesterday my
father said, "I am lucky to still be here!" The word is blessed; and so are
we, his family, that we still have time, tired or not, weak or not, sick or
not.

Faith is important WEndy, wherever you find it. We all believe in the same
God, the same Creator of us all. Faith in the cross and in Jesus is a bonus.
For Christians, it adds the faith and hope that we aren't alone, that we
have a God we can see and touch (at least when He was here). I'm saying this
because though God does sometimes work in the manner you expressed (the cross
of light may be a sure invitation to know Him) but then it may not be.
Wouldn't want you to be hurt or disappointed if it's not.

God bless you with His great love,
Chris
