I started faithtalk as an experiment a couple of months ago, with some
interested folks from my church (one of the reasons I haven't been able
to be as active on Mol lately). The idea was to create a group like MOL
(how could I have a better model than this loving group?) but with a
Christian focus...a place where folks could share and be supported,
think about life's big questions and challenges, and just be there for
each other.
Some of the topics we have touched on include a discussion about the
prodigal son's older brother, and currently, the issue of abuse. I would
like at some point to initiate more discussion about the scriptures and
what they mean for daily life.
I was really sorry to hear about your experience today with your other
group; it is amazing that Christians seem to be the only army that
shoots it's own! I avoided the church for 10 years -- not because of a
problem with God, but with Christians, LOL! God got even, though, and
called me to ministry. What a sense of humor!
Anyhow, you and any of the Molers are very welcome to join us at
