Tim,
I love the "bigger pail" analogy. My pail was so big for a while, I
needed a front end loader to lift it!! But right now I'm back to a smaller
easier to handle variety. Being the caregiver is a tough and very important
job. But you don't have to always be strong. Cry together, laugh, fight,
what ever it takes to be allies against the worst and strongest enemy you
both will ever encounter. Your loved one already knows that this is tough on
you and expects to see some weakening at times. Just share your feelings and
fears and then get your boxing gloves back on and start swinging. You win
some battles and lose some battles, but the main focus is to win the war.
Stay positive and draw strength from each other and the man upstairs. The
power of prayer is amazing.
Another new friend,
Nisi
