Re: [MOL] Lillian/Lee

Dear Friend: Is your husband being treated at a Cancer Center Hospital?
The equipment for a MRI is very expensive and the same for a PET; so it is
difficult to sometimes get these tests, and often a HMO will turn them down.
I am not an authority; so you are only getting my opinion and my experience
on this line; but for me it was first a cat scan and then an MRI and only a
yearly MRI now. I have a benign tumor in the right temporal area of the
brain (1cm); so it is being watched. A doctor is only able to provide the
treatment that is provided at the hospital they are connected with and are
not permitted to tell you about the various other treatments for the most
part. There is lazer surgery, radio surgery, freeze techniques; etc. Much
to be explored before decision of treatment is made by the patient. I have
included a site for you to go to and explore. I think this will greatly
help you. Your friend, lillian
