Re: [MOL]chris

Hi Chris and Tami,
In order for Insurance to pay for an MRI you have to have symptions to lead
the Doctor to beleive that the patient to have Brain Cancer. You might want
to check with your insurance company to see if that is the hold up. Don has
Lung cancer and all he has had is cat-scans, one bone scan, and reg X-rays.
Our Doctor told us no need for an Mri until there are signs of a brain tumor.
He is due for another cat-scan the 1st of June. He was dx'd March 24, 1998,
so for over a year into small cell lung cancer, no MRI's. If there is reason
to beleive there is a brain tumor, then a cat-scan is no good, that is when
you would want an MRI. Hope this helps.
Love ya,
Nanc
