Hi, Susan: My name is Kathy Corrigan. I'm only online at the office for a little while -- the I must sign off and see if I can get back online at home. Having computer trouble. I have definitely heard of Taxol -- it was given to me, along with Taxotere, Carboplatin, Cisplatin, and VP-16. I was given a catheter, too, and I thanked God for it every day. It made the chemo and blood drawing, etc., totally painless. I have small cell lung cancer and have been cancer free for a little over a year now. Hang in there -- there's always hope. Kathy

Hey all,
I finally got a little more info on my dad's treatment plan (what
there is of it). The doctors want to try some experimental drugs in a
new study. Have you ever heard of any of these: Taxol, Carboplatin,
Navelbine,and Gemcitabine(Gemzar).
They also want to start a central line cathater, is that normal?
Said the chemo is hard on the veins and this is the reason for it.
Said things really didn't look to good. Only a 20-25% response rate
to these drugs.
Hope someone has some answers.
Thanks Everyone,
Susan
