 Hi Nancy,
Thanks for sending this to me. I just read this message from Mary Furfaro's
daughter, Emily, and I am heartbroken for them all. Having recently lost my
Dad to this horrible disease, I know all too well the feelings they are
experiencing. Please pass this message along so that the Furfaro family
will know that my thoughts and prayers are with them during this extremely
difficult time in their lives. Our lives have changed drastically since my
dear father died and I want to tell them that any and all emotions they are
feeling are perfectly NORMAL. Let yourselves grieve but always remember to
keep those wonderful memories in your hearts and your Dad will always be
with you - I know mine is - even though I miss him terribly and not a day
goes by when I find myself wishing he were back here with us. But I take
comfort in knowing that he is in a better place were there is not any
suffering. How do I know this? Because shortly after my Dad died he came
to me in a dream and said "I want you to know that I am always around" - he
was happy and smiling. I asked if he could let us know from time to time
when he is with us and he said "yes" and then disappeared. The ironic thing
was that he was wearing the same shirt that my brother had been wearing only
the day before. We were teasing my brother about the shirt because there
 was a tear in it.
Remember - when we die we take on a new form of life. That is why in the
Catholic faith we say we pass "from life to life". If any of these words I
have written bring comfort to even one person, then I feel I have done
something good for another human being as well as for the memory of my
 father.
 God Bless You All -
