Hi All,
Unless you are a hermit or live under a rock, sometime during your day,
or at least during your week, you will find your self in a conversation
with someone. Here are my "thoughts for today."
Talking is sharing, but listening is caring.
God gave us one mouth, but two ears. Maybe that's
because we are supposed to spend twice as much time
listening as we do talking.
Some of us have a tendancy to want to do all the talking in a
conversation. It's an inborn need of ours to want someone to listen to
us, to be heard, especially if we think we have something worthwhile to
say. But what we forget is that the other person we are talking to also
has the same need. We can't just monopolize the conversation. If after
spending some time with a person, they know more about you and your life
that you do about theirs, guess who did the most talking!
God Bless,
Jo
