Yes sweetie I know all to well about the thryoid tests.
Just a little history for you; when I visited Florida after mom was diagnosed
in 1/98, I MADE her primary doctor aware of the fact that I WANTED mom to have
copies of all her blood work ups.
To this day mom is called every tues to come and pick up her blook reports at
her primary.
Mom doesn't like it when I am FORCEFUL with her docs but I need to be THIS IS
MY MOTHER and only their PATIENT.
Her primary doctor knows when PAULA a.k.a. PJ is calling to answer my call
immediately. The office staff is HORRIBLE. I have called the HMO about the
office staff numerous times. They are so dumb I don't know how anyone can
hire such incompetent people.
What is so disappointing is that there are so many senior citizens in Florida
who don't have ANOTHER MOUTH to talk for them and I'll tell you the God's
honest truth: this MASS in mom has been there for 9 years (the surgeon
estimates the size and then determines the age). 9 years is the exact time
Mom has been living in Florida. Until last year mom was never given a rectal
exam or stool exam. So you see, Dear Martha I feel somewhat responsible for
mom's condition because I should have been on top of things while she was
living there at the beginning of her life stay.
