Title: RE: [MOL] Yes, ahhhh those were the days
Hi, Sweetie:  Do you know what my all-time favorite movie was, I think?  "Babe."  I have the video, and sometimes I just put it in the VCR so I can hear him sing la la la, la la la ......  So cute.  I told Jerry I was going to buy the soundtrack so I could listen to all those little voices that were singing at the end.  He wasn't enthusiastic about that!  LOL  I also liked "Andre," and the one about the wild geese.  I like kids' movies, too.  Love, Kathy

Dear Kathy,

You know, I don't think I've seen an adult movie for about 10 years--that's since my son was born--no, maybe I've seen 3 or 4.  But one movie I did see was the new, or fairly new now, Leave it to Beaver movie.  I took my son Jeff, of course.  I loved it!  They picked out great kids.  Especially Eddie and Walley did a good job in their roles as individuals, and were able to project some essential  characteristics of the original kids on the TV show.  The dad is pretty good at this too.

The old Eddie is in the movie; he plays the young Eddie's dad.  Also the TV ma Cleaver is there, now playing Beav and Walley's grandma.  I have to admit, upon leaving the theater, I got a little teary.  Also, we do have the flick in our video collection!

Love and Hugs,

Martha

DEar Lil,

Yesss, I do remember that as well. I think every city had their American
Bandstand and we all tried to dance our way onto the local tv stations.
Dancing was so much fun. NOw we tend to look at dancing for therapeutic
reasons rather than fun and that is ok, but those days were just great.
FRiday football game, the cheerleaders, FRiday night social or sock hop,
then maybe a movie. Yes, America, am so proud of it, and look forward to
the day when crime and drugs and politics and ...uh oh I am getting on
my soap box again.....I'll leave well enough alone. Lil, I too concur
that we all live many years to see that our country had the peace and
fun and love of a good home as we had in the 50's. Thnx dear heart.

God Bless
marty
