YOu know what Frank,
Its like saying to woman, to cut off breasts because there maybe a
genetic chance of you getting breast cancer. That statement by a doctor
is absurd and cruel. Cutting out prostates is not the same as cutting
out an appendix. Prostates provides men with basic functions as an
organ. It is not meant to be cut out, that is why God gave us one.
HOwever, in stage I diagnosis of a malignancy, there maybe some cause to
do so, but when a doctor or anyone tells any of us to cut out anything
in our body on the premise that it is not serving a purpose or that its
not necessary, then I get my ire up. Thats cruel and insensitive. Ask
your Doc if he is prepared to cut out his prostate. See what the reply
is. I think we had enough of those experiments during world war II.
