Dick Clark may have looked good; but his personality was not so hot!  It was a great way to see the up and comming artist.  The funny part about the show and you will remember this when I bring it up.  While dancing with a boy, if he saw the camera he would turn the girl around so that the camera would capture his pretty face.  Remember that?  LOL!

Ahhhh! And I remember dancing on American Bandstand, still have my card
dated 1956!  America was a very happy country at that time, hope we can
