None of us are in the medical field; however since I am restricted to most meds. I find the following a help.

1 tsp. Malox, 1 Tsp. benedry and 1 sp. Lidocaine:  "MAGIC MOUTHWASH"
Good luck, your friend, lillian

Subject: [MOL] My esophagus

I am not a doctor.  I have, in layman terms, an infected esophagus.  Treatment from a GP was amoxycillin and claritin. Due to allergies, I cannot take propulcid or prilosec.  At the end of three weeks, no improvement.  Went to a specialist and received an antihistamine - Allergen? and zantac.  No help, so I went to a gastroenterologist who will perform an endoscopic examination in three weeks time.  In the meantime, conditions do not improve; I have a sore throat and have some difficulty swallowing and am taking Pepcid only.  Isn't there anything else I can take for a sore throat.  Isn't this wait far from helpful?  I realize the problems in writing a letter to a medical specialist who doesn't know me and who will be most reluctant to 'interfere' with another doctor's patient.  In the meantime, problems progress and I am between a rock and a hard place.  I need some information and help which is almost impossible to get.  Can you say anything
