  You want to find out what the differential count is in relationship to the
total white blood cell count and the complete blood cell count as a whole (
increases or decreases of  different types of white blood cells or in the
complete blood count would lead you in different directions ) . With  the
information regarding the symptoms ( chief complaint ) , medical
history,medication , results of other diagnostics ordered ( chem profile ,
urinalysis , imaging studies,etc .) and the physical exam , the Doctor would
decide how to proceed . Please ask questions and have the answers explained in
a manner that you can understand . If they aren't able to do so the second
opinion is a sound option .
