Hi, Jeanne: No, I've never been kayaking, but many people here do it.
There's a resort not far from here -- McCall, and it's beautiful there. The
mountains around McCall are magnificent, and the river that runs through
them is called the Payette. It has many rapids and white water. McCall was
built around Payette Lake. Really beautiful. The river that runs through
Boise is the Boise River, and it has many tributaries. This is the South
Fork. The North Fork runs through huge mountains. The Snake River is a big
river and runs to the south of Boise; then it turns north for awhile and
runs into the Columbia. I've never tried body surfing myself. I'm
basically a coward and I swim like a rock. I've never done any real white
water boating, either. Tubing down the Boise isn't really like that. It's
a fairly swift river, but not very deep and has only a couple of rough
spots. I've only been to Canada and Mexico, and there are so many other
places I'd like to go. Your daughter Cathy is a lucky girl to have seen so
