We got hit with our first big snowstorm of the season last night. We have
about 10 inches of snow, blowing and drifting. Spent all morning shovelling
and stacking wood on the deck. To top it off, the power went off yesterday
afternoon, around 4:30 and didn't come on again until 12:30 a.m. We made
grilled cheese sandwiches and soup on the wood stove. My neighbour, Marney,
came over (as she had no heat). We told stories, read jokes, etc. Bryan
went down the road to his friend's house. They had ceasar salad, shrimp,
lobster and escargot. Next time the power goes out, we know where to go!!
