Well, gang, so far it's cold and dry in PA. We had a dry winter last year, and
pretty warm too, so I guess we'll get hit sooner or later here. We are in a
state of "draught" right now. Actually, I would like a mild winter now for my
father's sake. He has to go to chemo so often plus several days a week for
the before & after shots to help him cope with the chemo.
The ground is still dry. Only one other neighbor and myself have Christmas
lights on tonight. It bothers me that people have bought into the "retail"
holiday schedule of decorating early and packing up early! It seems to be
that it would be nice to keep Christmas going longer. The lights and decor
keep cheerfulness alive in spite of the bleakness of the cold winter. Just
thinking out loud.
