Hi, Mam:  I like Patricia Cornwall, too, and as I said, courtroom novels.
An attorney from Portland who I used to know when I worked in that city is
writing some very successful novels.  His name is Philip Margolin.  His
books are very good, and two of them are based on sensational cases that
were in all the newspapers when I worked there, which makes them extra
exciting.  Also, I'm familiar with all the locales mentioned in his stories.
He wouldn't remember me, but I certainly remember him.  He was a good friend
of one of my bosses.  I plan to kick back and read all day tomorrow, if I
