YOu may wish to tell your friend this. That while many are content with
their Oncologist, another purpose for seeking out 2nd opinions, other
than to ascertain an opinion that coincides with primary physician, is
to learn more options, to build this safety net of knowledge and hope
and continued education in order to enable the survivor to take charge.
I find in many of the 2nd opinions that are sought out, that much
additional knowledge and hope and options are a result of those
opinions. The cost to seek out a 2nd opinion is relatively cheap in
comparison to the knowledge and hope gained. Just my opinion.
