Hi,
Just thought I'd add my 2 cents to the Irish/Italien, etc., debate. I
think my blood lines are mostly English, but we're still working on our
genealogy - so who knows? Just for the record, our family names are:
Beverley, Dudley (VA), Williams (descended from Roger Williams of Rhode
Island) & Cranston, Betts & Gary (VA/NC), Sawyer, Riggs, Hubbard,
Whitehurst, Spence, McCoy (NC), and Wilson (NC & VA/separate lines),
Cheatham, Odom, Webb, Furbush, Whitaker (VA, NC & ?). There are more,
but I don't have them all memorized.
Tom's (my husband's) family is German, Irish, etc. (I think). His
ancestors were named: McGregor, Johnson (MI), Jehn/Jana & Schmidt &
Martin (Germany, MI), Wurdock (PA), Delamarter (Germany, NY, MI). I
think Martin was in MO, too. That's all I remember about his line right
now.
And I'm helping a friend w/her genealogy: Koulouvaris (Greece, MA, VA),
Hendricks & Adams (Pulaski County, KY).
There has been mention of genealogy here and - being into it - I have
resisted mentioning all of this until now. But a person can restrain
themselves for only so long! :-)
