I guess it is time that I officially introduce myself. I have been quietly
getting to know all of you. I am not a cancer patient myself. I am a
caregiver to a dear friend who waas recently diagnosed with mestatsis to the
liver from an unknown source althought the flags indicate it is from the colon
or some gastric region. My father died in 1968 from lung cancer and both of
my inlaws died of lung cancer that mestastized to the brain. I wish I had
this gorup then.
I am one of the Irish Ones. I guess it was my pride in being Irish that made
me come out of the closet so to speak. I am amazed to see how many of you
Irish lasses married an Italian. I did too. But I am sorry my marriage was
just too hot so to speak so it did not last after 10 years but I have three
wonderful children from it so it was not for nothing.
I live in West Palm Beach, Florida. I am a high school English teacher of
Alternative Education so I will not be able to make your party but I would
love to. I would like to get a tee shirt to support this group. Please tell
me how I can do so.
I find this group to be the most warm, giving, caring and knoweldgable grooup.
I came upon it while researching information for my friend. I want to be of
assistance to each of you. Just please let me know what I can do. I think of
each of you and pray for each of you.
I am proud to see the strength each of you has and the determination to gowith
it. Cancer is a powerful word but through strength and knowledge a fight can
commence. Each day brings eus a new journey whether we are ill or caring for
an ill family member or friend. I do believe this C thing can be beat but it
can only be done so by people like each of you. Thank yo again for welcoming
me into your group.
