Today has been a busy day - and an amazing one! This morning, I took the
kids yardsaling while Tom had a washing machine guy come look at our
washing machine. Well, the kids and I found a neat little ping-pong
table for only $15, so we bought it. It fits in the basement and I
anticipate a lot of fun time ahead w/it.
I hadn't checked my e-mail all morning - on purpose. But when I finally
checked it, I found - don't faint! - an e-mail from my older brother
Roy!! He apologized for having been out of touch for so long (years!).
It was all very amazing. I can't wait to get a response from him on the
message I sent back to him.
After that, Tom and I took the kids to Sleepy Hollow Manor Nursing Home
to visit Virginia. I think it meant a lot to Virginia. Hopefully
she'll get to go home in another week or two. She has to hire part-time
help, though. She got gangrene in her remaining foot and they had to cut
off a toe.
Nothing else to tell right now. I just had to share the news that my
long-lost brother wrote me! Will wonders never cease!
