That is the way it used to be for me, every dog I was given would die, naturally I
wasn't given to many dogs! Then, I came up with this plan, that were the dog given
to my mother or someone else in the family, I would raise it and it would live and
it really worked. We are presently breeding german shepherds and rockwillers, have
both the male and the female. We breed for family pets, disposition rather than
show or security; however with the dogs being so large, they are security. My
daughter breeds cocker spaniels. The female rockwiller is huge, weighs in about
110 pds. and only 10 months old. She thinks she should be a lap dog and climbs up
on my lap only to fall off because there is not enough room. We just got hit very
hard the past two days. The ticks are so bad here this year, we lost one of our
german shepherds (female) to tick fever (Dog valued at $500.00) and almost lost the
female cocker; but she was caught in time. I guess that doesn't compare to the
humans we are loosing in Texas to the heat....Your friend, Lillian
