Re: [MOL] A story to live by... from Neil & Pam

I have been watching some of the stories unfold here for a week or two now -
isn't it funny how time just slips away as you try to capture every moment?
The support you all send is so strong and heartfelt I find myself sometims
crying as I read your messages of love. I am so glad I found MOL.

What a beautiful story from Neil and Pam - and how true! Unfortuately, no
matter how much we think we are living and appreciating the gift of life each
day, we do not realize just how precious each moment is until we face the fear
we are dealt with something like cancer.

The day we were told our little girl had a tumor in her brain I entered a
whole new world of fears and realizations. And when we learned it was the
least curable of the three most common types of tumors/cancer in childhood I
thought I would never be able to endure the days ahead, but somewhere comes
the strength to face each day though some are more difficult than others. I
think maybe I am learning more from each of you with your messages of hope
each day on dealing with living with cancer, though I have a long way to go.
Some days I can't even bring myself to search for more information, some seems
so hopeful and others so scary.

You are truly a wonderful group of people. I probably won't stay on this
service for long, because I'm not sure if this is really the place for parents
with young children, but you will all be in my heart and prayers and I wish
you luck and thank you for giving me the places to search. If you do find
someone who is dealing with having a child diagnosed with cancer who would
like to share information, please forward my E-mail address to them.
SMB1970@aol.com and ask them to write "Katie" in the Subject field.

God Bless
Sherry
