Dear Peg,
There's not too many people left in my family, for one reason or another.
So when I got news of my recurrence, I got as many people praying for me as
possible. My son went to Catholic school. I told the principal to please
tell the priest to remember me, which she did, and she also got all the
kids at school to pray for me. I bothered my pastor and his assistant, for
their support. And I also joined this list called Anglicans Online, which
is a mixture of lay people and pastors. I admit, I sort of have played the
field when it comes to religious affiliation. Anyhow, one sweet lady wrote
me back when I told them what was happening to me, that now I had over 600
people praying for me from all over the U.S. to Britain, Australia, New
Zealand, Canada and Egypt. (If you want to see it's Anglican@stsams.org.)
Anyhow, I told them about you tonight, so they will all praying for you
too.
Lots of Love,
Martha Cerreto
