Pls. forgive me; but I am a little confused. What dr. and where did you go see
today? Are they saying you have a tumor; but they don't think it's cancer? One
doctor wants to use chemo. and radiation to shrink this lg. mass and hopefully
kill it? The other doctor wants to do a delicate maybe see surgery? Do I have
this right so far? Do they know what type of tumor it is? Cancer clinicians have
long know that hypoxie tumors which thrive where there is little oxygen are more
resistant to radiation and chemotherapy than other tumors. They have developed a
drug called EF5, that helps the doctors determine the ocygen content of the tumor
and therefore better tailor the treatment to the patients needs. Source. Univ. of
Pa Medical Center. that ocno link. Now I believe they have a thing where you can
send all you tests; etc. and the doctor will give a second opinion. Pls. answere
what questions you can for me and I will start researching right away. Your
friend, Lillian
