Glad I could be of assistance and that you are healing so nicely. I know
exactly what you mean about being sore and numb at the same time. It IS
possible. My doctors were instrumental in ensuring I regained the use of my
arm. I had two visits from the physiotherapist. Once you know what
exercises to do, do them daily. I found after about 3-4 months, they were
so easy to do that I stopped doing them.
You are fortunate to get an appt with the radiology people so quickly. I
believe I had two appts with them before radiation actually started a
couple of weeks later. I have "tatoos" on my chest. They made 3 or 4 tiny
blue dots to mark where the radiation would be aimed. They also put lines
on with marker, which wash off. Which side are you having it on? Mine was
the left. I found the radiology technician very supportive. They answered
any questions I had and even showed me, after radiation had started, a
diagram of my breast and exactly where the radiation was being aimed etc.
It was very interesting and information.
I believe you have endured the worst part of all this, the waiting, the
worry, the surgery. Radiation and healing are the easy part. Keep up your
positive attitude and know that I truly admire your attitude and
courage.Good luck on the 28th.
