Re: [MOL] Norman Vincent Peale

Dear Mary,

Thank you so much for that. I am and many others here are devotees and
believers in the mind/body connection and how the relationship can
positively bring healthy attitudes and results in healing, emotionally
and physically. While we all run the gamut of negative emotions as a
result of the initial Oncologist diagnosis, it is a day by day, step by
step procedure to strengthen the mind to allow it to heal the boby. Much
of the positive attitudes that we develop is by the encouragement and
support that comes from the wonderful people of this forum, the number
of books by Phychological/Oncologists say Dr. Bernie Siegel and
Psychoneurroimmunologists like Dr. Carl Simonton and yes Greg Anderson,
and then miracles and advancement of new medical techniques both
conventional and alternative, but essentially the positive attitudes
comes with persistent determined daily meditation and guided imagery by
utilizing our mind to kill cancer cells in our body and to heal. For
instance Barbara, my wife, imaged a lazer light, 3 times a day for about
15 minutes each time, focusing on one lymph node at a time to heal that
lymph node. Eventually it worked, in combination with the many other
positive therapies. But all the things that she did in utilizing the
therapies came from a positive attitude and much much hope that all were
here friends and were there to help her and her mind cure her body.

Thank you Mary. Didn't mean to rant and vent. Just meant to support what
you wrote.

God Bless
