Hi Jeanna,
Where do you live? In Canada? Let me know prices, and anything else about
the the Essiac Tea. We buy corn and feed it to our Deer we enjoy seeing them
come up to eat, it's fur to see the babies come, 2 of the does had twins this
spring. Watching the bucks horns grow is something else too.
Love and prayers to you and yours,
Nanc

<< Christine, yes, I'm sorry...corn you say! We tried growing corn one time
and the racoons got it all! We harvested potatoes, broccoli, spinach,
beets, arigula, basil, lettuce and zuchini (JUST one plant this year) We
grown nasturiums and violets for salad as well and grow parsley and herbs
around the yard. Nothing fancy. Our green thumbs don't extend that far. Too
busy, as we have four apartments for rent in our old house and something
always needs to be done. I cook the books. I can't remember what it is like
to look after 3 active youngsters... I think you have to be young to do it.
Do you have local lakes and beaches (mosquitoes?) (WE don't have any!)but
do miss the lakes and rivers of Ontario and Manitoba. Seems that is where
is everyone is on the weekend - at the lake. Do you see the Aurora at
all... I miss this. What did you do for fun as a kid or were you raised in
a different part than your own?

Christine, I honestly cannot remember when the temp here went up to the
30's. We get all excited when it gets over 26 degrees C. (ok, that is 80
degrees in Fahreheit, for our American friends). We have family in Nanaimo
and with the new 4 lane highway, they are down almost every weekend. (Yes,
 we like them)

I would try to get my hands on the native tea. It sure can't hurt to take
it. Ask if they know any medicine man who do healing and sweatlodge
ceremonies. I have heard that the Aneshnabe (their name for themselves)
still keep the customs. The tea recipe has been probably been handed down.
Nancy P might be interested in the Native Legend tea ingredients. This tea
has much the same ingredients as Essaic with a few more added. There is a
product called Flor-Essence a Herbal Tea blend that contains the same
ingredients. I have heard of a tea that used to be brewed by a medicine man
back home. People used to go to him when the doctors could not do anything
for them. I don't know if they still use it today...have to admit that I
picked up a lot by osmosis as my mom's grandmother and my grandfathers
brother (yes, we are Cree) were medicine people. My grandfather was a
storyteller and I never tired of hearing of the Cree legends which are
quite similiar to the Objibway. I am going back home (knock on wood) next
year so will pick some elders brains on medicines.

I met a woman who spent 12 years studing under a medicine women in Ontario.
Now I wish I gotten her name.
No, I have not sent in my bio, don't know what to write.

 God Bless, Jeanne >>
