From: fitecancer@earthlink.net (Martin Auslander)What you say about Ihe National Cancer Institute, the Federal Drug Administration , the National Cancer Clearing House is incredulous. Any one person's opinion, as an employee, does not speak for the entire organization, or other departments therof. Of course, none of these institutions would like to see any herbal or non-drug/prescription remedy used for anything. There had to be an act of Congress to put the breaks on these entities from regulating the herbal - vitamin - nutritional industry. The reference to the Dr. Quack website is laughable (and aptly named), a liable prone site full of uninformed commentary against anything other than what the writer believes.
"Only distributor in the U.S. for this product," you say? There are over 166,000 distributors in the United States and several other countries, with more countires opening. Many of these distributors hold doctorates in medicine and nutrition. The company went from $400,000 its first month's business in July 1996 to $10.2 million for the month of June of this year. less than two years. The people using this product must of read the materials available and have benefitied from the use of the product.
You claim to "keep all doors open." Yet you demonstrate that you hold a personal bias and vendetta regarding this product. You appear to be the one exhibiting insensitivity. You are entitled to your opinion, but you are insensitive to the many cancer patients who have , and are, using this product with great results. You appear to want to disregard the scientific evidence, the statements by many medical doctors and the real-life reports of the many people who have benefited from its use. You choose to close your eyes to all of it. Your door is not open!! Worse, you want to perpetuate the public debate at the cost of the many sensitivities of the people on MOL. You, of all people, should know better.
Many people with cancer do indeed survive without this product. Those that take the product hope to increase the odds. Certainly, there are many benefits realized with the addition of this product to the overall regimen. This is just one more arsenal in the weapons against disease, including the many manifestations of cancer.
One would hope that all people, including John and you, are "the most caring and concerned people on Mol." One could only wish it were true that the both of you, and others, would demonstrate your "knowledge and ability to keep all doors
open (as) unparalled." Apparently, I am told, there are many MOL subscribers who have made the decision to try and use this product. Please do not exhibit further insensitivity and bias against these people's free choice and concerns for what they feel is best for them.
Please do what you do best, Sir, and continue giving sound advice on every other matter. Leave this one alone.---------------------------------------------------
