I've been interested, for some time, in starting a self-help network where
people who have cancer would help other people with cancer. Some examples
might be driving someone to a treatment or picking up a few things from the
grocery store. Then whoever was the helper, would be owed a favor, not
necessarilly from the person they helped, but from the network. There
would be no money involved; it would be more like a barter or trade system.
I could keep the big book; i.e., about who did what and was owed favors.
Of course, if someone needed a lot of favors, they could still be in the
network.
Let me know if anybody is interested in this, particularly people who live
in New York, which is where I live. I guess the best thing would be to
