If you don't find out what you want to know
very soon (in my unesteemed opinion, you should have already heard what was
going to happen from your son's onc.), I would go to that onc.'s office and
plant myself in a chair and refuse to budge until he took time in his
"busy" schedule to see you and answer your questions. Did he not
come by your son's hospital room while he was there?? If he did, he should
have given your son some information on what he proposed be done. If he
did not, I'd dump him immediately!!
Also, the first thing you have to learn about
surgeons is that they're a head and shoulders above the rest of the world.
They are not people persons in most cases. They just cut. So don't
think too badly of him as that just makes him fit the pattern. But the
onc. should have been by almost immediately and talked about the type of
protocol he wanted to use.
Dear Martha, Yeeeaaahhhhh! Great
news. I for one have benefitted very much from your advice and
encouragement. I don't drink very much myself but today we
are going out on the Rogue River to have a much needed relaxing day and I
will tip a bit of bubbly to you. (Probably a couple sips of hubby's
beer, as that is his champagne) My son Rich will start rad. or
chemo soon and I'm just not sure where we stand with his cancer.
I'm assuming the oncologist will tell us more about what's going on with
him that the surgeon did. The surgeon says I got it out and you'll
get some treatments. So I learn and read this MOL list for my
info. Keep up your great encouragement to this lists as we would
all miss it if you didn't write. Some people have the gift of words
and you are one of them. Thank
YOU! And I'm sooooo happy for you. Love Vicci
