I can't explain why your dad's dr. referred him
to who he did but I do know that Sloan Kettering is one of the best cancer
hospitals we have plus I believe that they have numerous cancer clinical trials
going on that your dad might qualify for. So don't take this a necessarily
a bad thing but look it as a possitive action for your
dad.
I'll be praying for your family and looking
forward to hearing from you as to what you find out
Well the news I have been dreading has
arrived. My Dad's oncologist has stopped the chemotherapy as he is
not responding to it. This is the second time. At least the
first time, the doctor had an option -try a different chemo. Now,
he referred us to Memorial Sloan Kettering. However, I
am confused..the doctor he referred my Dad to does not specialize in
colorectal cancer. (I checked their web site) I have a call into him now
and I am waiting to find out why he wouldn't refer him to an onc that
specializes in his type of cancer. Anyway, I had to post this
because I feel like someone just punched me in the stomach. My Mom
was too upset to talk and I told her I would handle arranging the
appointments and such. It helps to get this out. Thanks for
listening....Cathy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This
