[MOL] A Delayed Message for Allison

Dear Allison,

          Docent@aol.com

Pls excuse me, I am writing this reply while I am waiting for my wife to

be treated at an immune therapy hospital. I will not be able to post

this message to you until Sun and it is Thurs previous as I have no

means to access a telephone access for my modem. So, pls do excuse me.

In the meantime, there will be many more here that will provide you with

some very good suggestions to begin your caregiving project of a

wellness plan for your Mother.

Pls be encouraged to know that when all other tests are clean then the

tumor is what is known as "insitu" which means in one area and the great

or vast majority of all cases can be cured by either or both means of

the treatment you are indicating the doctors are suggesting.

NOw, if it is a metastastasis "spread" to other area(s), pls

additionally be assured that there are treatments and therapies that are

very successful in this disease as well. There are many, many miracle

stories.

I would urge you to start collecting all medical records, say, the

radiology reports, medical reports, all scans and biopsy slides as they

will be necessary for you to take to a 2nd opinion which I and many

others would urge to you seek for your Mom. NOw, to get a good 2nd

opinion is to begin by calling the National Cancer Institute at

1-800-4cancer and they will provide you with at least 3 names of

comprehensive facilities in your area to arrange appointments for 2nd

and possibly 3rd opinions. The purpose of these opinions is to find

oncologists that not only concur with you Mothers primary doctor, but to

provide you with sources and information that will enlighten you about

the disease and other followup procedures that say your Moms oncologist

may or may not cover.

Pls do come back as we will provide you with so much more info. Just

take one step, one day at a time.

God Bless

marty auslander
