Barbara received her
cat scan, tumor marker and blood tests results this morning. There was no
evidence of disease other than the less than 1cm lymph nodes in neck area
which have been there for the past 8 months or so. There was no
change. Her tumor marker (ca-125) came down further from 18 to 14
(35) is normal. The further the marker comes down the better off she
is. and today was great cause for celebration. She doesn't have to
see her Onc for two months and no tests for 4 -5 months. 2nd
opinion and primary Onc feel that she is cancer free even though two
lymph nodes are enlarged. They feel that might just be scar tissue as
there has been no change in 8 months.
So to sum it up.
