Subject: [MOL] Still counting
Well, friends, today I went the hospital clinic for some transfusions, and saw
my doctor. The news is very very bad. My white blood count stands at 57,700 -
a leap from 16,500, which itself came from 7,400. I am seeing him again on
Thursday, if if the regime of pills he has put me on has no effect -- Hydea,
Prilosec an Allopusinol -- well, it's off to the big house again for three
weeks at least, this time with a chemical called Taxotere. Anyone know
anything about it? It's supposed to have much less likelhool of causing
dizziness, but baldness is another matter, and since my poor hair has only
just begun to grow back, how much can that matter? And how much can one take
of all this? A lot if it works, and if one's insurance stands up to it.
Thank you for the uplift at Thanksgiving. I really enjoyed the red, white and
blue. I would love to write to you individually but I am not up to it -- plain
and simple. Sorry.
The best part of the day was coming back through the park, now in full summer
glory, with people having such fun all over the place -- gorgeous weather and
how I would have loved to be out in it. Oh well. Some other day.
Hope all's well, things are going nicely, and you had better news than I did
today!
God bless
-- Ron
