Dear Elizabeth,
Think about this for a moment. Some of the major HMO'S are now including
alternative treatments and methods into their protocal because they have
lost many patients with many debilitating conditions, not only cancer,
to some of the clinics that are popping up all over this country that
direct themselves to the revitalization of the immune system. It is
becoming important and essential as we understand how our bodies
function and react to conditions unfavorable that we also understand how
we turn that around so that it becomes revitalized favorably.
With that in mind, it is equally essential to understand that
alternative therapies, a good daily comprehensive program, is a partner
along with conventional therapy to provide us all, healthy and ill, with
longer quality life.
My first suggestion to you is read these books. They are very
comprehensive and will answer most all your questions about
conventional, alternative, and it runs the gamut about attitudes,
emotional and mental beliefs, meditation, exercise, nutrition, support,
belief in medical teams, spirituality, etc.
Dr. Bernie Siegels "Love, Medicine and Miracles"
Dr. Carl Simontons" The Healing Journey"
Anne Frahms "Cancer Battle Plan"
and
Greg Andersons "50 Essential Things to Do When the Diagnosis is Cancer"
God Bless
and pls continue to come back here, there are so many other great,
spiritual, brilliant souls on this discussion forum that will guide you
further.
