Liz.. one more thing I would like to add and I am truly not sure how to say
it, but let me try... I am no wiz on the medical field, but it seems that
some of them are associated in groups... My primary care doctor referred to
this when she referred me to the third surgeon.. She said that she wanted
to get me totally away from that group for another opinion... If I
understand it correctly, they even refer you to a colleague of sorts for
your second opinion... Naturally they will back eachother up...
Managing the cancering journey is actually what you need to learn quickly..
I know that you will my dear.. Just slow it down and take your time.... My
tumor took over three years to grow to its size and another month or so will
not change your situation at this stage.. It will only enable you to be
truly comfortable with the decision that you make..
You questioned whether or not you would ever feel sure that you had made the
right decision... The answer to that is unequivocally YES!!
First of all take the time to research, build a medical team that you are
comfortable with and then make your decision. Pray for the direction to be
shown to you. Once you have made the decision and proceeded, then there is
no looking back.. The day is gone and never yours to be relived again. So
you see you must believe and know that you made the right decision for you,
based on the information you had at the time and the comfort level you had
with your medical team... You must know that any decision you make today is
the right one for you.
I guess once again... I have burned up your ears my dear.. but know that I
do it with caring and the understanding of being a cancering survivor on the
cancering journey... May God be with you through it all. Carla
