Dear Marty,
Rich was operated on Mon. June 29 and by Wed morn. was doing good.
Talking, starting to eat. By Thurs. afternoon he was getting sick.
Throwing up every 15 to 20 minutes. I'm not sure what you mean by
treatment. He hasn't started chemo yet. He was just trying to recover
from Mon. Nothing much is going through his colostomy. They took him for
exrays Fri and his bowels looked fine and not crimped. He is still sick to
his stomach this afternoon and all he is taking by mouth is ice chips and
very little of that. They want to take the tube out of his nose that goes
to his stomach but if nothing is moving thru he's going to be throwing up
again every few minutes. What is your idea? Or was it only for during or
after (chemo?) treatment? This stuff being sucked out of his belly is very
thick mucas and plugs the tubes constantly. Any help would be appreciated.
Vicci Thanks!
