IN actuality at the time beef is slaughtered, my understanding is that
beef or cows are not tested for microbes for cancer cells, but they are
for microves of bacteria.. However, when cows are alive and the stem
cells are to be abstracted for transplants, these cells are tested for
microbes or cancer cells.
HOpe this is some type of logical answer, even though the logic in
reality is not sensible. In one sense we eat beef which gives us disease
and yet as you say we test them for disease free treatments. Ironic
isn't it.
