Re: [MOL] A meeting tonight..

Carla, this is interesting, if he is an internist then he is a specialist
with many years of training. It is unusual for a medical doctor of this
caliber to take an interest in nutrition, herbs and herbal extracts. This
is naturopath country. Naturpaths do detox for liver function with herbs
and diet, usually they advise, no sugar or processed foods, most canned
foods, processed meats like bacon, sausage, etc, and dairy products. All
sorts of green organic produce is preferred and organic or wild meats (no
antibiotics). I think the Livingstone Foundation does detox too, don't
they. This is where Marty took Barb. I thought you were already on this
type of regime. Let me know what you find out from your meeting. Can you
especially note what he says about the blood test....never heard of this!
Ask if you can tape the conversation. Are you taking along a list of the
supplements you are taking now? I know you use a lot of natural foods and
supplements already. Marty is quite into this and will probably respond to
this if you bring this up again. A lot of our food is becoming adulterated
with pesticides and herbicides as we simply will not buy food that looks
less than perfect. You can go to organic as much as possible and due to
consumer demand, a lot of supermarkets will have a section for organic
foods I found.

There is a growing danger from gene-altered products as well. Big companies
are producing plants like corn, soybeans that are altered so that it will
not be affected by the herbicides (guess who makes the herbicide?) that are
used for weed control. I read someplace that farmers would have to buy new
seed from guess who every year.

About herbs, I agree about imported herbs. There are companies though that
sell herbal products that come from organic or wild sources. Its again
buyer beware, read labels. The oils are very expensive but last and last as
you use only a couple of drops at a time. Do you grow any herbs yourself?
They grow well in planters and can be inserted anywhere in a small garden
or flower beds.

God Bless, Jeanne

products sold in health food stores are imported in from other countries

them sprayed with chemicals and then they are used in the natural products
we are buying... I found that unsettling... I for one am trying to get
away from chemicals and toxins..

system with distilled water and herbs.. He also said that he could do a
blood test and tell from that if a person was going to get cancer and/or if
it was going to come back... He said that he monitors his cancer patients
this way, by taking a drop of blood at each visit...

Afterall, I am taking a bunch of herbs, vitamins and minerals now and
juicing... I know what the tinctures cost and it would probably save me
money each month over what I am doing now...
