Hope all is going well with you now. I have a few questions
to ask you, I
have a sister that has breast cancer. She knew she has the lump in
her breast
but chose to ignore the lump for more than a year until it had consumed
the
entire breast. After finally going to doctor she went to a local
cancer
doctor that worked in connection with M D Anderson in Houston, TX.
It was then
that she went to Houston and they decided to take both
breast off since they
found precancer in the other one. After the surgury and the biopsy
they found
that it had spread to the lymph nodes under her arm. I also need to
note that
she took 5 chemo treatments before the surgury. Now she is taking another
chemo for 4 treatments then this summer they are going to do the blood
stem
transplant. My questions are what is involved with the harvesting and
replacement of the stem cells and how bad is the whole ordeal. I am
so
concerned for my sister, but she has had the best attitude about the
whole
thing, it like she knows that she could have fixed this problem along
time ago
but didn't so why complain. Thank you for your time.
