[MOL] Re:BEN

I have sent you allot of information in regards to cancer and the type cancer your daughter has and yet you have not responded to the one question I had.  It appears that you come and go, come and go.  I do not mean to offend you in anyway; but I had already sent you the information on where they are studding shark cartilage, all the trials, all the cancer sites; etc.  John has sent you allot of information, and so has Marty.  Stanford is excellent; but if you want to be double checking and that is very good, then go to oconolink and some of the other sites.  Oconolink for a fee will do a diagnosis for you.  Everyone is different and everyone reacts differently, since we are not in the medical field, we can only give opinions and that's just what they are opinions, period.  We may suggest; but we can not endorse any product or treatment.  I hope this has helped you.

Dear Ben,

The University of California system has a number of National Cancer
Institute (NCI) supported Cancer Centers.  There are three cancer centers
at La Jolla, two in LA, and one in Orange.  Let me know the nearest to
you and I'll send you the details.  They tend to be connected to a
network of cancer specialists and up to date on all the latest
treatments.  It also would be advisable to get second and even third
opinions.  One of the keys to success in this is having trust and faith
in the primary oncologist.

You can also speak with a representative of the NCI by calling
1-800-4CANCER.  Be sure to have them mail you information about cancer in
general, diet, and information concerning Synovial sarcoma.  They will
also advise you about the latest treatments and clinical trials for this
cancer, where they are being offered and how to contact them.  The NCI
also has a web site that is worth the visit at http://rex.nci.nih.gov

Ben, no one likes to see their child with this disease.  Just know that
it is not the same as it was years ago.  Treatments have improved as has
the survival rate.  I am a living example as are many others on this web
site.  The important thing is to have hope, keep faith with your God and
learn as much as you can about Mevis' cancer so that you will be in a
better position to be her advocate.  Let me know when you are ready for
more places to go for information...I do not wish to overwelm you right
now.

You and your daughter will be in my prayers.
God Bless.
John
