Lori, I just wanted to share this with you before you signed off.. I have a
half sister who was taken off life support with less than 24 hours estimated
for her to live.. They considered her brain dysfunctional and no way she
could survive nor ever be more than a mental vegetable.. Well, I just went
to see her 2 weeks ago. She is in a nursing home without any support. She
left with us and went to a softball game and out to taco bell.. Her first
meal out!! She walked on her own... She is now being evaluated for a rehab
hospital.. She understands what is being said to her as an adult.. so what
has come back to her has come back at her present age... She has begun to
speak and cursed the nurses which they all love.. since she is talking...
My point to this is that many people were praying for her and said their
goodbyes. God had other plans for her... I don't presume to answer for
God's plans for anyone.. but don't stop praying.... Love, Carla

Soooo glad to see you back and getting right back in gear. Wish we MOL'er
could have been at the doc's office to give you a "group hug". Hope you are
doing better.
I think I will be signing off for a short time as a friend of mine who had
complications following a C-section (she had a beautiful baby girl) is being
removed from life support tomorrow and I just don't think I'll be ready to
face the computer and lots of emails for a few days. It's so sad, she was 29
and this was her 1st baby.
My Dad continues to do well with the Taxol treatment. His doctors are
suprised I think because the Taxol alone was a shot in the dark I think. It
is just a reminder that we should never believe the statistics alone. The
human will to fight and live is an incredible thing.
Am kind of at a loss has how to put my appreciation of this group into
words. The incredible wisdom and heartfelt words never cease to amaze me.
Keep up the great work. And I will "talk" to you all later....
