Bill, I know that this is a frightening
time and how much you are working to research this for yourself and your
father... I was found to have adenocarcinoma of the lung last November and
had a lung removed.. Let me tell you as you begin to research that you
will need a little more information to do it easily... They group cancer
in this way: Adenocarcinoma (type)
Lung (whatever they have determined to be the primary
site)
TIIb (stage)
N1 (number of lymph nodes
involved)
MO (no metastases)
This is my own type that I
have used as an example.. You will find it much easier to research info
and clinical trials with this complete... There is so much information out
there... This is information that one of our members, Lillian has compiled
:
(On the Home Page of Medicine On Line (MOL) go to
Medline. This is a service of the National Library of Medicine which
provides literature searches in the medical journals. When you enter the
name of the cancer it will return articiles from the
last 3 years. The cancer links contains patient files. The Medicine
On Line Cancer Services are listed there including some quite good
international sites.)
