Dear Mols,
My mother had a small breast tumor surgically removed in June of 1995.
However, a recent x-ray and bone scan indicated an abnormality: a possible
lyric lesion on her seventh rib. When we visited her oncologist I asked him
about the possibility of doing a biopsy and he replied that it was too risky;
it
might puncture her lungs.
The game plan is to redo the x-ray and bone scan next month, but the results
may not be conclusive. Are there other alternatives which would help expedite
a proper diagnosis?
Thanking you for your assistance.
Samuel
