Hi,
I'm a medical dummy, so you hafta take everything I say with a huge dose of
salt. I do have a brain tumor though, and I remember the doctor answering one
question by stating that "when dealing with the brain, many kinds of side effects
are possible." What she seemed to be saying, was that if a part of your brain
that deals with your stomach happens to be antagonized, you could feel sick
to your stomach. Similairily, you could easily experience foot problems, back
problems, vision problems or what have you.
Oh darn, I wish I had more to report. It seems trivial to me, but I'll add that when
I had stomach problems, I found that snacking little snacks on a continual type
of basis seemed to work a lot better than eating a full-sized meal. I ate a
lot of wheat crackers, cottage cheese and peaches and these rice-paddy type
cookies. It also helped a lot to have freinds like you--it helped to perk me up.
Somehow, it seems that my appetite is highly connected to my frame of mind.
Thanks so much for helping your freind, you may have no idea how much that
really means to him!
Ross

Hi, I have a freind in Rural KEntucky, Pikeville, who has Glioblastoma or
BRain Tumor. He has had Gamma Knife and now they have inserted the wafers,
ever since they inserted them he has been deathly sick at his stomach. I was
wondering if anyone else has had these side effects? They have inserted a
feeding tube, but that has't helped either. Thanks
