I had a lumpectomy and am currently on Tamoxifen. I was told the same as
Joicy, that taking it any longer than 5 years shows no improved benefits.
It is supposed to be beneficial to help ward off osteoporosis. I don't know
of any other cancers it would help but a possible side effect is
endometrial cancer, as well as others, so I would not recommend taking it
any longer than is necessary. She should check with her doctor.
