[MOL] Talked to Annie

We called Annie today & she sounded very tired. She said she has been
staying in bed quite a bit since the chemo, but she did go out to lunch
w/Regina. I asked about the anti-nausea drugs and she said the doctors
gave her anti-nausea drugs just prior to the chemo (one of the was
Adovan (?)). She said she thinks that maybe they should have given her
some in the morning when she awoke, too, though. She didn't know to
ask for it, if so. She threw up that morning and again on Friday
morning, following severe headaches each time. She's experiencing some
insomnia, too. She was awake for four hours last night in the middle of
the night, unable to get back to sleep during that time. The tape on
her catheter is pulling at her skin, but she gets the tape changed
tomorrow when she has blood drawn. She's to have blood drawn every
monday. She'll have chemo once every 3 weeks for 6-8 weeks. Her next
chemo will be May 12-13. She has now lost 2 more lbs., too. And, she
says, her doctor put in the catheter, but apparently two resident
doctors are to help care for her, too (because he wasn't there during
her chemo) - Dr. Grupka and Dr. Moorehead. The only other problem is
that she repeatedly asked for a menu the night she checked into the
hospital, but they never brought her one until the next morning, so she
had very little time to look it over. They ended up serving her
something called ham loaf and broccoli and tuna fish casserole - all
things she dislikes, so she didn't eat much of it. She said next time
she'll make sure she gets a menu right away.

Got to go. We're taking the kids on an outing.
